TTP was tested in a clinical study at the Wolfson Medical Center, Holon.

The study compared TTP with invasive temperature monitoring devices – esophageal, nasopharyngeal and rectal temperature probes – to determine whether TTP can estimate core temperature within an accuracy range of 0.5ºC.

The trial included 152 patients and 4307 data pairs. In the trial, 95% of TTP’s temperature measurements ranged within ±0.5ºC of reference distal esophageal or nasopharyngeal reference core temperatures.

TTP was found to have a high degree of accuracy, appropriate for routine intraoperative core temperature monitoring.
